RO Membrane

RO MEMBRANE

"Reverse Osmosis Membrane refers to the thin layer which water can pass through but ion cannot. Before 1990s, it was made with Cellulose Acetate, but due to high energy use and salt removal rate, now it is made with Poly Amide macromolcule which has high efficiency as its main material. With no change of phase(such as liquid to gas or gas to liquid), it has a feature which it can remove ion from the solution which makes it easy to used for the purpose of removing salt and contaminants in water. It is used in desalination of seawater that turns seawater into drinking water or industrial water, production of ultrapure water for cleaning electronic parts, production of pure water used in boilers, and production of pure water for medical and pharmaceutical purposes. Besides, the recycling of sewage/waste water has been in the spotlight to minimize environmental pollution and widely use scarce water resources, and it can be applied in various fields such as in foold or concentration of liquids. "

FOULING RESISTANCE

  • · Contamination of the membrane is the most problematic part when using reverse membrane.
  • · Especially, when using surface water and waste water as a basis water, high concentrations of organic matter often cause pollution that is difficult to recover.
  • · With stain resistance reverse membrane developed by Woongjin chemical's new technology highly reduced this problem. 
  • · Hydrophilicity has been improved, so hydrophobic substances (oil, organic matter.etc)  deposits less, and since the surface of the membrane is smooth, there is also less deposition of particles.

Nano Membrane

  • · The feature of nano membrane is that the removal ratio of  monovalent ion and divalent ion are different.

Ultrafiltration Membrane
